hey, i noticed you’ve tagged some of the mice as aby carriers. could you explain what that means? i love your mice. theyre wonderful and i want to kiss them


Heck yeah! Aby carriers is “Abyssinian carriers” ! 

Abyssinian is a gene that is newer-ish in fancy mice? It causes the fur on the hind end to grow in reverse rosettes, offering a bit of a ‘winged’ affect to them! 

It’s a recessive gene- or, its a gene that needs two copies to display!

The father of these mice is a visual Abyssinian, which means the babies got one copy and are carrying the gene! 

They’ll need to be bred back to the sire to produce visual Abyssinian!
